North American PRRS Symposium

Porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome (PRRS) is the most economically significant disease of pigs in the world. Recently, a new coronavirus emerged, porcine epidemic diarrhea virus (PEDV), which is seriously impacting the industry. NA-PRRS brings together an international group of researchers, veterinarians, students, swine health specialists, companies and producers. The 2014 meeting will focus on the latest discoveries related to PRRSV and associated disease syndromes, including porcine cirovirus associated disease (PCVAD) and PED. Abstract submission is invited for all three diseases. Several invited talks will be presented by researchers from all over the world. Travel fellowships will be available for students and post-docs. Friday evening will feature a poster session and reception. Registration is $150 for regular attendees and $100 for students, and includes proceedings, lunch on Saturday and all refreshment breaks.  A special room rate of $189/night is available from Wednesday, December 3 through Tuesday, December 9.  Attendees requiring visas are encouraged to register early.
